By Your wounded side and nail-scarred hands
You reveal to me Redemption’s Plan
I begin to see Your heart towards man
How you died for me so I could stand in You.
The Cross of Calvary
It stands for victory
It stands eternally
For all to see.
The Cross of Calvary
Has made a way for me.
And set this captive free
To honor Thee.
By your stripes
I have been healed.
-from the CD Journey of My Heart by Kelly Wilkerson

Each year, Easter seems to take on a different meaning for me. This year is no exception.
When I assess my journey this past year, I know it’s been the hardest ever. But, it’s also been the best. We’ve encountered heartache and difficulty. But, we’ve also found unspeakable peace, freedom, and joy. Given and received forgiveness. And grasped a small understanding of what Freedom in Christ truly means.
What I love about knowing Jesus and trusting Him is that I don’t have to “be perfect” or “do enough” . God LONGS to have relationship with me- His child. He prefers me, He enjoys me, He wants to redeem me. He honors me. He ’s proud to call me His.
And my response to Him is the same. Because I’m motivated by His Love, and not by “doing enough” just to stay out of trouble.
For me, one of the worst tragedies in this earthly life would be to know Jesus without having a deep and abiding relationship with Him. To never know if you’ve “done enough” to please God. Jesus already did “the enough” on the Cross. I just have to accept His love and grace.
And, therefore, I walk this journey in abiding peace.
No matter what happens.

One of my favorite CD’s is The Sweet Life by Cherie Adams. This is an excerpt from one of my favorite songs.
You give me such a sweet life
A joy like I’ve never known.
When You rescued my heart from the storm.
And now I see
What Your love means to me.
It’s such a sweet life.

May You Know Christ’s Love For YOU Today and Always,
