Where Seldom Is Heard, A Discouraging Word….

…and the skies are not cloudy all day.

OK, IT’S OFFICIAL.  I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO WATCH WILD, WILD WEST ELMO  ENTIRELY TOO MANY TIMES.  IT IS STARTING TO GET TO ME.  HELP.

If I were ever consulted on what I believe would to be the best  (or worst! Depending on who’s point-of-view you are coming from : ) ) torture devices- you better believe I would, HANDS DOWN, recommend putting ANY Elmo DVD in the player and put it on “Repeat”.

Insanity and slow death would, no doubt, ensue.

Alright- on to happier things- unless you’re L’oreal.

As we all know, opinions on cosmetics can vary from one end of the spectrum to the other.

And, well, as you know, I surely have mine.

So, today I must do the inevitable. Because, every once in a while, one of these products crops its ugly head, and well, I have to treat it just like all the rest.

And write about it.

And you’re stuck reading it.   But, I hope to save you a little of your hard-earned cashola.  Or the birthday money you got from Grandma.

So, a few months back, I read a rave review of L’oreal’s Infallible Lip Colour Compact.

I bought it thinking it would be a really great thing for my fast-paced lifestyle.  Remember, things are hoppin’ around here at all times.  I’m usually dodging The Pee, The Poo, and as of late, The Puke.

Oh, the Three P’s.

So anywhoos, the set contains a color and a clear “sealant”…in a cute little compact carrier.  And, for me, that’s about as far as the cute goes.

Believe me, I tried to love this lippy prod.  I tried with all my heart and soul.  You can lead this horse to water, but, well, you know.

I find that is applies with a strange texture.  I find that it “gums up” after a couple of hours.  I find that it looks very yucky at the end of a day.

And I’ve rarely ever met a lipstick that didn’t likeme.

I guess you could say I have me some MAD lipstick-buyin’ skills.

So, unless you borrow someone else’s and you TOTES love it or you get it for Christmas- I would steer away from this purchase.

Save yourself $9 and put it towards something more useful.

Like some new nailpolish.
